The methods used by yoga therapy include breathing techniques, asanas, kriyas, bandhas, and their combinations. The entire program is individually selected for each patient, determined by the stage of the disease and the body's response to therapeutic procedures.
What a yoga therapy consultation looks like
Yoga therapy consultation lasts 1.5 hours and includes:
1
Diagnostics
- collection of complaints and medical history, - study of the results of analyses, MRI -visual diagnostics -active and passive movements in the joints -tests (movement restrictions, manifestation of neurological symptoms) -palpation
2
Compilation of scales and questionnaires depending on the disease
Assessment of body mass index, blood pressure control, anxiety level (Spielberg-Khanin test), CAM (well-being, activity, mood), etc.
3
Development of an individual program
We will arrange an individual training program and an abstract for work at home . The patient is given not only recommendations of asanas and breathing exercises, but also recommendations on changing postural behaviour, gait, and household habits.
Typically, the training program lasts 3-4 days, then the patient is expected to train at home and comes back once a week to adjust and make the necessary changes.
